We have been working hard to provide a new game to the Steam Greenlight platform as well as other mobile/tablet based platforms.
LibGDX from BadLogicGames is a Java based library which uses a single code base to generate working code for multiple hardware platforms including PC, Android, iOS & HTML5.
Progress has been very good and we are hopefully getting ever closer to the Alpha stage.
The game is a 2D based space sim with aspects taken from various game styles, action, adventure, role play, multiplayer PvP & crafting.
For all of you out there who use 3D models we are now offering a 3D printing service.
Our current max build area is 200mm x 200mm x 120mm and we can print a max of 3 individual colours / materials on a single model.
Our standard 3D printed layer height is 0.35mm but we can reliably go down to 0.2mm per layer. The width of our print head is 0.5mm.
We can print in PLA which is low cost and bio degradable or ABS which is a bit more robust (think Lego bricks). There are other materials available on request.
We can also do the 3D modelling design for you if required.
Please contact us for a quote.
Here are some of the items we have printed so far:

At exhibitions you often want to show off your work in the hopes of attracting new potential customers. This also works for the windows of stores to advertise products on sale within. Most will simply create a large fixed image poster at great expense and use this for long periods of time. Sometimes much longer than the product in question is on promotion.
Using modern technology it is possible to create a dynamic animated display for approximately the same cost as the fixed image poster.

The 8x8x8 LED cube project published on the Instructables website was very detailed and yet looked simple enough for me not just to complete but add substantial enhancements as well.
This is the end result.
Following is a tutorial on how I built my 8x8x8 LED cube and also how I created the firmware and simulation using Flowcode 6.
